Komeng was hanging out with Khai at the defunct 107 when Mr Johnson walked into the shop. While Khai was tending to Mr Johnson, he was also gesturing his finger towards Komeng while Komeng was busy digging away for the elusive pot of gold in his nose. "Ah...you must be the one in-charge then?". Komeng smiled and nodded, contemplating whether he should shake his hand with a piece of bogey still sticking at the tip of his fingernail!
To cut the chase, Loose Grooves got invited to perform a BMX demonstration at Kampung Ubi-Kembangan Community Centre for their Green & Bike 2008 campaign. Member of Parliment, Dr Ong Seh Hong was present as its Guest of Honour. It was organised by the People's Association to promote various aspect of cycling as part of their “Family Life Champion” programme. Their aim to encourage family bonding through sports, seems to be very well received going by the crowd turnout.
We were suddenly psyched up that sleepy drizzling morning by the presence of two Redbull hotties distributing their energy drinks all around. Well they gave both Shah and Shalihin wings indeed! Since this event was the first proper exposure for the company, we decided to set up booth to display the Skate Pass programme as well.
There was this one kid who refuses to accompany his mum to cycle, choosing instead to stay with us to learn how to skate. And within an hour, he was rolling all over!
